Aspire Gym

Having always had a passion for sport and been an aspiring Paralympian myself I am always inspired and motivated by the achievements of sports people who overcome their disabilities. The Aspire Gym is a place where disabled athletes come to train, develop their skills and build their confidence in hopes for future sporting glory. It also forms a social hub where athletes can meet and bond through their shared love of sport. This series of portraits focuses on the wheelchair rugby team and attempts to portray the physical power, mental strength of character and determination to succeed that I encountered when I met them. The assurance and confidence motivates me to pursue my endeavours in raising the profile of how disabled people are represented
